The Daily Nebraskan

The Daily Nebraskan, which began its journey in 1871 under the name Monthly Hesperian Student, serves as the student newspaper for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. While it employs numerous journalism students, it operates independently from the University's College of Journalism and Mass Communications. The entire newspaper is created and run by students, with support from a dedicated professional business manager, Dan Shattil, who has been with the publication for many years.
