BURLINGTON, Ky. — The SWAT Team was activated Saturday night in Burlington in Boone County after the Boone County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic violence call, according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office. Officers responded to the call at the 8200 block of East Bend Road in Burlington. The victim reported that 29-year-old Kyle Wilson had assaulted and strangled her inside the residence. She also reported that Wilson was potentially armed.

CINCINNATI — A man is dead after a shooting in Carthage early Monday morning, according to officers on scene. The officers say that a call came in for shots fired around 1:30 a.m. Police were flagged down and found a male in his late 20s to mid-30s with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was declared deceased on scene. The body was found in a back alley between houses on 68th and 69th Streets. There is no information on a suspect currently, nor an identification for the victim.

CINCINNATI — The 2025 Flying Pig Marathon had thousands of runners fly across the Finish Swine on Sunday, despite the wet and rainy conditions. Representatives from all 50 states and 30 different countries braved the gloomy conditions and slick roads to run 26.2 miles through Cincinnati for the 27th year of the marathon. The weekend saw 39,292 participants across all the events. The marathon itself, which began in 1999 and is considered one of the top marathons in the country, had 5,686 runners.

CINCINNATI — The man suspected of killing a Hamilton County sheriff's deputy made his first appearance in court Saturday morning. Members of the Sheriff's Department packed the courtroom to show their support for their former colleague. Rodney Hinton Jr. is charged with aggravated murder, and appeared in arraignment court Saturday to hear the charges. It was decided he would be held without bail in the Clermont County jail until his bond hearing, set for Tuesday.

CINCINNATI — A teenager was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning near the University of Cincinnati, according to Sgt. M. Reynolds of CPD. The shooting happened around 2:50 Sunday morning on the 2700 block of Glendora Avenue. Officers on the scene said someone jumped out of a white vehicle and fired about 10 rounds. The shooting was not a drive-by, according to officers. There is no description of the suspect at this time. The victim, a male in his late teens, was taken to UC.
