Partnership tax reform should be a key part of the current and upcoming tax policy debate, with large parts of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) set to expire at the end of 2025. Partnerships represent almost 30 percent of all business income in the United States, now outnumbering C corporations. For federal tax purposes, partners are taxed directly on their share of the partnership’s income and activities.

Unfortunately, it has become the reality for many women who are diagnosed with PCOS. Formerly known as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, the condition affects an estimated one in ten women. However, according to the World Health Organisation, up to 70% of sufferers are believed to still be undiagnosed.

At Kingston, we have a huge proportion of students that commute every day to university – over 50% of students live at home or off campus. Not only do they face the reccuring battle of delays, cancellations and traffic but they now also find themselves in a situation where the cost of commuting is increasing, leaving them in situations where they may have to miss a class or two.

As the cost of living rises, parents now struggle even more with the pressures and strains to support their children who are studying at University. Jasmine, a KSA student admitted that her studies had caused further pressure on her parents finances. She said she feels lucky to receive small instalments from her parents but also feels guilty receiving money in addition to her loan.

The UK fell into a technical recession at the end of 2023 as GPD dropped by 0.3% between September and December, it was announced on Thursday by the Office for National Statistics. A recession occurs when the economy, which is measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP), falls over two consecutive three-month periods, or two quarters. GDP is the value of all the goods and services that the UK produces.
