Department of Homeland Security cuts funding to Literacy Network's citizenship grant

MADISON (WKOW) - Cuts made by the Department of Homeland Security are impacting services in Madison. At the end of March, DHS terminated Literacy Network's citizenship grant. Literacy Network is a place people can go to for free classes and legal help to apply for citizenship. Executive Director Robin Ryan said they usually have about 130 to 150 people in class each year. She said the number of students who pass the citizenship test is growing.

MIDDLETON, Wis. (WKOW) - Middleton Police are looking for the two suspects who broke into Schoepp Motors early Sunday morning. The two men are seen on security video getting into cars and driving off. The break-in happened just after 2 a.m. and General Sales Manager of Schoepp Motors Craig Blevins said the thieves were there for more than two hours. "[If] they stayed here any longer, we would have had to charge them rent. They were here for a long time," Blevins said.
