Growing up, Tom Fong didn't know much about the early life of his father, Fong Wing Sun. There were vague stories about Wing Sun having survived a shipwreck when he was a young man, grasping onto a piece of wood - possibly even a corpse - to stay afloat. But Tom assumed that it had happened near China, where his father immigrated from.

A recent survey of Wisconsin’s farmers found that 56 percent of them believe climate change is happening. Another 26 percent think it isn’t happening, and 18 percent are unsure. Those statistics might seem startling for a group of people who work outdoors every day and are attuned to the cadences of nature. kAmqFE |:4926= q6==[ E96 &?:G6CD:EJ @7 (:D4@?D:?\|25:D@? Mike Perkins woke up early on a morning in August of 2018 to a sound that he thought was thunder at his home in Coon Valley just east of the Mississippi River. "I remember thinking that the neighbor lady across the street wouldn't know what to do if a tree fell on her house," Perkins recalled. "I looked out the door and, holy cow, there was 2-½ feet of water in the yard."Realizing his house would soon be overcome with water, he tossed a few items into a duffle bag.
