Last month marked the premiere of Sky Atlantic’s dark comedy drama miniseries Sweetpea, a show centred around the highly introverted Rhiannon (Ella Purnell) as her life enters a vicious downward spiral when her highschool bully Julia (Nicôle Lecky) returns to town to sell the home of Rhiannon’s recently-deceased father. Ella Purnell of Yellowjackets (2021—) and Fallout (2024—) fame shines as the show’s protagonist, perfectly encapsulating the wallflower character.

Unless you‚Äôve been living under a rock, you‚Äôve probably seen some of the promotion for the upcoming Wicked (2024) movie, an on-screen adaptation of the beloved 2003 musical. The movie is star-studded, with Broadway legend Cynthia Erivo as the main character of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, alongside pop sensation Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good Witch.

Well, weâ€™ve made it to the final week, folks. Spoilers below (obviously). At this point in the season, there were only three contestants left: Georgie, the consistent and traditional baker; Christiaan, the stylish baker with unusual taste; and Dylan, the flavour king. Each of these bakers have previously demonstrated immense creativity and skill, so I was quite pleased with the final bunch.

Welcome back for an extra-groovy episode of the Great British Bake-Off! We’ve reached the quarterfinals of the competition, and our beloved bakers — Georgie, Dylan, Gill, Illiyin, and Christiaan — have to duke it out in a 70s-themed contest. This episode not only featured amazing bakes, but amazing fits as well. As soon as the crew walked into the tent, I knew we were in for a vintage feast for the eyes. Everyone had on exceptionally 70s outfits complete with bizarre patterns and bright yellows.

The Great British Bake-Off: it’s a show we all know and love. Many viewers — myself included — anxiously wait for Tuesday to see if their favourites will survive another week. It’s become part of my routine to call my boyfriend over in America to watch the show together (in case you’re curious, our favourite is Sumayah). My nerves were especially shot for this episode, as it was the dreaded Caramel Week (how did you pronounce that word, care-a-mel or car-mel?
