Worse, in our nation’s largest city of New York, Black birthing people die at eight to 12 times the rate of white mothers. Nobody is safe.

All of these threats contribute to the United States ranking 31st in life expectancy at birth, one of the lowest in the developed world, despite having the highest health spending per capita.
