Seven accomplished leaders, educators and researchers in the College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) have been inducted as Distinguished Fellows in the National Academies of Practice (NAP). It was "last call" at the Kia Center all night long on Friday. Seventeen-time Academy of Country Music Awards winner and owner of one of the greatest mustaches in modern music Alan Jackson “rocked the jukebox” for more than two hours in Orlando. His “Last Call: One More for the Road Tour” took the Kia Center audience through every stage of both his career — and, by extension, country music history.

Internet sensations Charli XCX and Troye Sivan brought their double-headed "Sweat" tour to Orlando on Sunday, while the audience brought the energy that elevated an already charged atmosphere into ecstasy. As we looked around the arena, we saw a tidal wave of raised hands that moved at different paces but somehow worked in unison. It sounded as if there was never a break in the audience’s screams.

As summer’s end is right around the corner, Summer Fest organizers picked up the phone to call in one of the last certified cool concerts of the season. “Two Phone” Kevin Gates answered and will bring friends to Addition Financial Arena on Saturday. Gates has been in the game for well over a decade. He began his rap career in 2007 in his hometown of New Orleans, and was further established in the genre when he signed to Atlantic Records in 2013.
