WAMC, Northeast Public Radio

WAMC is a public radio network based in Albany, New York. It operates 12 broadcast radio stations and 16 relay stations that help transmit its programming. Among these is WAMC (AM) 1400, an AM station located in Albany. The official name of the organization is simply "WAMC," but it is also referred to as "WAMC Public Radio" or "WAMC/Northeast Public Radio Network." Additionally, WAMC manages The Linda/WAMC Performing Arts Studio, which serves as a venue for performances and is situated close to its Central Avenue studios.     HOCKEYTessa Janecke scored the winner as the United States prevailed in overtime against defending champion Canada 4-3 to win the women’s ice hockey world championship. Janecke struck with 2:54 left in overtime for the Americans to claim their 11th title at the worlds. Abbey Murphy and Taylor Heise scored a goal and had an assist, and Caroline Harvey also scored for the U.S. in the final.
