Prince George RCMP released few details other than to say it started at about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon (April 23) and will wrap up "soon."The incident, with a heavy police presence, is located on the 2700-block of the Hart Highway. No word on what caused the event or if any has been injured.

PRINCE GEORGE - Beginning Friday, you'll be able to cast an advance ballot for the April 28 federal election. According to Elections Canada, the advance polls will run Friday April 18, Saturday April 19, Sunday April 20, and Monday April 21. Advance polls are open each day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and you may only vote at your assigned polling station.

PRINCE GEORGE - Prince George RCMP arrested a 17-year-old youth in the UHNBC parking lot on Monday afternoon for possession of a firearm. Police arrived on scene just after 3 p.m. and arrested the suspect without incident within minutes of the report being made. "We train for these types of scenarios as part of our initial instruction at the RCMP Training Academy, and also as part of our yearly qualifications.
