A multiyear project on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus to improve models for evaluating potential cancer-fighting therapies before they go to clinical trials has been awarded the first of what researchers hope will be several grants from the National Cancer Institute. The project focuses on immunotherapies for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which represents about 80% to 85% of all diagnosed lung cancers.
