Listen to this post This week, a Maryland federal district court amended its prior Biological Opinion ("BiOp") vacatur judgment, extending the timeline for vacatur from December 20, 2024, to May 21, 2025, which averts for now a potential shutdown of Gulf of Mexico ("GOM") oil and gas operations. The revised vacatur date aligns with the National Marine Fisheries Service's ("NMFS") modified (anticipated) issuance date for its replacement BiOp and corresponding Incidental Take Statement ("ITS").
