The 2025 NFL Draft is always going to be remembered for Shedeur Sanders dropping from a potential No. 1 pick to a guy who was taken in the fifth round. The league is now dealing with new calls of racism, and Sanders is being compared to Colin Kaepernick. This is probably going to be a surprise to anyone familiar with my work, but I don’t see it that way. What happened to Sanders wasn’t primarily about the fear of a confident, bold, young Black man.

The Arizona Cardinals are betting on production over potential in selecting Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen with the No. 16 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. “I’m just kinda excited to get there and get started,” Nolen said in a conference call with reporters immediately after his selection. So, the Tuesday game was played, but the makeup in Morgantown is set for May 8th. While this may not seem like a problem, the back-to-back night in district games is setup for good reason. It does not allow one team to throw their number-one pitcher in both contests.
