The very first Arizona location of popular Southern fried-chicken chain Bojangles will open in Gilbert, according to media reports. The North Carolina-based restaurant acquired a property at the northeast corner of Val Vista Drive and Mercy Road, ABC15 reported. The opening date for the new location has not yet been announced. Bojangles, which is known for its Cajun-style fried chicken meals, biscuits and sweet tea, first announced its expansion to the Valley in March 2024.
