Blue-White Illustrated has previously reported on what fans can expect to encounter before that (which can be found again below). On Wednesday, head coach James Franklin offered insight into how things will work once his team takes the field. “We will start with two skellies. Then the first quarter will go THUD, so everybody can get reps,” Franklin said.

STATE COLLEGE — Penn State continued its march toward the Blue-White game on Wednesday night as the team held its 13th of 15th spring practices here on the outdoor fields between the Lasch Building and Holuba Hall. It was a picture-perfect sunny April evening for the penultimate set of drills at this location before the program moves over to Beaver Stadium on Saturday. Head coach James Franklin’s team worked mostly on fundamental work during the portion of practice open to reporters.

As you can probably imagine, it took Penn State quarterback Drew Allar some time to move on from the Lions’ final loss of 2024. Speaking for the first time this spring in the days leading up to what should be his final Blue-White game in State College, the senior admitted that he was ‘not in a good state’ for the next week as the program collectively tried to transition from being on the doorstep of the College Football Playoff title game to the realities of the offseason.

Nine Penn State wrestling connections have earned a seed in their Senior men’s freestyle bracket for the 2025 U.S. Open. That info headlines today’s newsstand. For those who are unaware, the U.S. Open is one of the qualifiers for Final X, which is held in June and ultimately helps determine the Team USA lineup for the World Championships and also the Olympic team in years when the summer games are held. Penn State sophomore-to-be Luke Lilledahl is the top seed at 57 kilograms (125.6 pounds).

Penn State lost linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson to the NCAA transfer portal last week. Now, the Pa., native knows where he will play next. Robinson is transferred to USC, On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported Tuesday. The decision comes after On3’s Vice President of Recruiting and Transfer Portal, Steve Wiltfong, reported that the Trojans were trending to land Robinson. The defender was in Los Angeles for a visit with head coach Lincoln Riley’s team over the weekend.
