The headliner was freshman Milla Frye who was named CAA Field Hockey Rookie of the Year and made the All-CAA Second Team and All-CAA Rookie Team. Frye started all 17 games for the Hawks and her eight goals led all conference freshman.

Votes are tabulated from the conferences head coaches. On the women’s side, the defending regular season champions, received nine of the 10 possible first-place votes.

The Scarlet Knights defeated Michigan State, 1-0, Thursday night. The lone goal was scored 42 seconds after halftime by sophomore forward Ashley Baran. The win improved the Knights record to 8-1-1 overall and they remain undefeated in Big Ten play (4-0) so far this season.
