Apr. 14—A man is accused of vandalizing and setting fire to a Tesla dealership outside Bernalillo and the Republican Party of New Mexico headquarters in two separate incidents. Jamison Wagner, 40, of Albuquerque, was charged with two counts of malicious damage or destruction of property by fire or explosives on Monday. He will remain in custody pending a detention hearing that is scheduled for Wednesday, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.

Apr. 14—The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was found dead in Southeast Albuquerque Monday morning. At 6:45 a.m., officers responded to a call of a disturbance and a man in the street who appeared to be dead in the 6400 block of Cochiti, near San Pedro and Central. When they arrived, officers determined the man was dead, APD spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos said in a news release. A person was taken into custody, he said.

On April 7, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham signed into law Senate Bill 364, which allows people with work authorization from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to serve as sheriffs and police officers.
