Hundreds of glowing eggs were hidden throughout the children’s room in the library for this special event on Saturday. The eggs were filled with treats and prizes. Some of the eggs had coupons for a free book. Amanda Kivi, the library’s Early Literacy and Elementary Specialist, says there was a lot of anticipation for this egg hunt.

    MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Dancing with Our Stars Marquette County contestants are taking part in a fundraiser this weekend. Stacey and Jared Haughey are hosting a white elephant auction with Julie and Ty Hartung at 906 Sports Bar & Grill in Marquette. It’s on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. in the lower level of the bar. All proceeds will benefit U.P. Home Health and Hospice. You can donate an item that can then be purchased during a silent auction.

Amid tariffs, there’s uncertainty about further increases.     MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - A 150-year-old church is holding a fundraising concert Sunday to go toward updates for its building. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Marquette planned its Sounds in Sacred Spaces concert for last month but re-scheduled due to inclement weather. The church was recently selected for a national restoration matching grant. This means if the church raises $135,000, it will receive that same amount back.
