The Vacaville Fire Protection District responded to the scene after receiving word of a paraglider who spiraled out of control before crashing into rocky terrain. The crash site was deep within the mountain’s dense brush and steep hillsides, conditions that made reaching the injured man difficult, firefighters said. “There was thick shrubs and grass that was approximately three to four feet tall. We were having to create our own path,” firefighter Ty Smith said.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest of 20-year-old Kevin Thao in connection with the November 2023 shooting outside “Sacto by Night Lounge." Jail records show Thao is being held on a murder charge and is not eligible for bail. He is scheduled to appear in court May 23rd. “It took longer than I had anticipated,” said Mee Yang, the mother of Ryu Kai Her. SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A woman was hospitalized after a shooting Tuesday night outside a strip mall in South Natomas, raising concerns among nearby business owners and residents as Sacramento Police continue to investigate.
