    Have you ever heard the sentence that I put on as the title of this post? Well, props to you if you've gotten the reference. If not, that's okay as well. It comes from the TV show Cowboy Bebop, and, without giving too much away about its soundtrack, the line is one of the first things that you hear when you sit down to watch the show.     Scientific rationale for study: Sugar-sweetened beverage (SSB) consumption increases the risk for non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including periodontitis. Prior investigations have not considered important factors, including age groups, diversity of beverages consumed and awareness of a diabetes diagnosis that may modify a person's relationship with sugar consumption. Principal findings: SSB intake was associated with higher odds of periodontitis in US adults.

    First and foremost, this is a very important book. In my opinion, it has some flaws, whichI’ll talk about later, but overall, it’s a great book. Even more important than my personal take on the book is the fact that that permeates all the pages of the book and that it should permeate most of the pages of our lives: the climate crisis. I know, it’s literally in the title, but still … It’s a topic that most of us have at least heard of, but most of us have not taken action to stop it.
