4. Effect of Turbine Wheel Burst Modes on ContainmentAccording to , the rim burst of the turbine wheel can greatly reduce the requirement for the thickness of the containment ring. To quantitatively investigate the effect of turbine wheel burst modes on the containment, the containment tests for different turbine wheel burst modes (the wheel burst and the rim burst) are simulated.
