Sontos Chavez is the chief of the Dove Creek Volunteer Fire Department. “It serves the eastern portion of our district so it’s a big deal for us to open our second station,” Chavez said. The Dove Creek VFD covers just under 300 square miles of the southwestern part of Tom Green County.

    SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The impact of tariffs are being felt across many industries including the floral industry. Dahlias and Daises owner Rachell Vaden said she is not feeling the impacts of rising costs because she buys her blooms from local and area flower farms. “The way that my business is set up is that most of my flowers come from local growers so I personally have not felt quite as much of the effect as a lot of the local shops have,” Vaden said.
