Police arrested a 40-year-old man who allegedly pointed a gun at someone outside an automotive parts store on Saturday afternoon, said a Santa Fe Police Department news release.The victim told police that he was talking with a friend outside the Speedway store at Siler Road and Agua Fria Street when two trucks pulled up. A man in one truck got out with a pipe in his hand and threatened the victim.

Dona Ana County Public SafetySOURCE: Dona Ana County Public SafetyThree people were rescued Sunday from potentially drowning in the Rio Grande, a Dona Ana County Public Safety social media release said.Dona Ana County Fire Rescue personnel responded just before noon to an emergency drowning call. They went into the river and pulled three people out of the water safely. No injuries were reported. Thanks were given to the Mesilla and Las Cruces fire departments for their assistance, the release said.

A warrant has been issued for a 20-year-old man who shot two people Friday, one of whom died, a Hobbs Police Department news release said.HPD officers found Michael Alonzo Wynne Garcia in his vehicle a few blocks away from the shooting, which happened on the 800 block of East Lincoln Road. When police ordered Garcia out of his car, he drove away quickly in a red Toyota Camry with Texas license plate TYL7444.
