Plenty for a Fallow to do. It’d be fair to say that I’ve got a bit of a weird relationship with the Monster Hunter franchise. My first entry into the series, World, was also the first time I’d reviewed one of these games. You may have missed it at the time, but suffice to say the community certainly left an impression on me. (To be blunt, the fact that Hamish received ANY death threats at all, let alone for a 7.5/10 review, is absolutely appalling.

Welcoming the next generation to the Wilds. It feels like forever ago that this humble games reviewer first fired up Monster Hunter World, wrote a few thousand words (largely of praise) and then got screamed at by a very vocal niche of the gaming community. Six years and many, many hours of Monster Hunter later it almost feels like the completion of a journey as I sat down across from Ryozo Tsujimoto, franchise series producer, to talk about its next instalment: Monster Hunter Wilds.

And you'll answer. In many ways it’s incredible that STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl is here today at all. The latest entry in the STALKER series and the direct sequel to 2009’s STALKER Call of Pripiat, it was originally slated for release way back in 2012. This sequel popped up again a few years later, this time with a release date in 2022 – though due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, where developer GSC Game World is located, the game has suffered further delays.

BioWare’s back. It’s easy to see Dragon Age The Veilguard as a make-or-break moment for BioWare. For a long time, the studio was known known as the go-to studio for RPGs, with huge titles like Mass Effect, Baldur’s Gate 2 and Knights of the Old Republic under their belts. It’s been a rough few years since then though, and many would have us believe that the studio is on the ropes. So, is Veilguard a victorious return to form? Let’s find out.

In the footsteps of Mephisto. It’s no secret that Diablo 4 has been going from strength to strength since its stellar launch followed shortly after by the plunge back down to Earth with a lacklustre first season. Even now there are still some who’ll turn their nose up at Vessel of Hatred, based purely on the bad taste that initial experience gave them – and that’s a shame, because Vessel of Hatred rocks.

This was the best fight in SL - it clears Baran by a mile and dusts the neon light show impact frame extravaganza that was Ant King/Beru. All downhill from here.
