And it all starts next week. Australian PlayStation Plus subscription pricing will skyrocket by up to 11% from next week, Sony has recently confirmed. Blaming this recent batch of price increases on “global market conditions,” Sony said the new rates will allow it to “continue offering high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription”. New pricing, detailed, below, will go into effect from 16 April for new subscribers.
Ubisoft says players don't have "unfettered ownership" of game purchases

Purchases provide "a limited license to access the game," the publisher says as part of a The Crew lawsuit. As part of a lawsuit that revolves around Ubisoft’s shutdown of The Crew, a response from the publisher states that players don’t have “unfettered ownership” of their purchases, but rather “a limited license to access the game”. Ubisoft shut down The Crew servers in March of last year, then reportedly began revoking access from players’ PC libraries in April.

First expected in 2024, The Alters is a sci-fi game that revolves around the concept of the multiverse. “Stranded on a hostile planet and racing against a deadly sunrise, Jan Dolski’s only chance of survival is to create ‘alters’—alternate versions of himself shaped by roads not taken,” 11 bit Studios said in a new press release.

Fresh off news that USA-based Switch 2 pre-orders have been delayed as a result of US President Donald Trump’s new tariffs, Nintendo has confirmed that Canadian Switch 2 pre-orders will also be delayed for the same reason. “Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in Canada will not start on April 9, 2025 in order to align with the timing of pre-orders to be determined in the U.S,” Nintendo of Canada told the CBC’s Jonathan Ore in a statement.
