A wave of drones launched on Tuesday by Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces targeted sites in the wartime capital Port Sudan, including the airport and the seaport, witnesses told The National. It was the third drone attack by the RSF on Port Sudan in as many days, signalling a major escalation in the country's two-year-old civil war between the paramilitary group and the national army.

Israel is planning to push the entire population of the Gaza Strip to a "safe zone" in the enclave's south where it will distribute so little humanitarian aid that many Palestinians might opt to leave the territory, sources said. Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces on Sunday attacked with drones a military air base that is part of the international airport at the Red Sea city of Port Sudan, the first attack on the de facto capital since the Sudanese civil war broke out two years ago. Military spokesman Brig Gen Nabil Abdullah said the suicide drones attacked an ammunition depot, a warehouse and several civilian installations he did not specify. There were no casualties, he added.
