The grim statistics in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, come amid a continuing cost of living crisis and brutal Government welfare cuts. According to ONS figures logged between October 2023 and September 2024, 22.9 per cent of working age (16-64) residents in Ashfield were economically inactive.

A CHARITY insider has claimed that Prince Harry "should be nervous" that his alleged 'angry' message to Sentebale's boss will be made public. The Duke of Sussex reportedly sent Dr Sophie Chandauka an "unpleasant" and "imperious" message when she refused to back Meghan Markle in a row over a polo event last year. Dr Chandauka, the CEO of the Duke's foundation, accused Harry of "harassment and bullying at scale" as well as trying to use the charity as his 'own PR weapon' when she stood up to him.

THE A3 is closed in both directions after a massive car crash this afternoon. The major road is affected between Liphook and Bramshott Common in Portsmouth. Emergency services raced to the scene. The Hindhead Tunnel has also been closed. According to AA traffi reports, there are huge queues northbound to Griggs Green with southbound traffic tailback beyond Hindhead Tunnel as far as Witley Common. More to follow...
