Forgive me for having a self-congratulatory moment but it’s been quite the week for i. On Monday, reporter George Simms won Young Sportswriter of the Year at the British Sports Journalism Awards. On Tuesday, i was named National Newspaper of the Year at the 2024 Newspaper Awards in London. It’s always flattering to be recognised by your peers but it is also important to recognise the huge team effort that goes into bringing you each and every edition. Thank you to everyone involved.
