The i Paper
The i is a British daily newspaper that is published by Johnston Press, the same company responsible for the Yorkshire Post and The Scotsman. Launched on October 26, 2010, it caters to both current and former readers of all ages, especially those commuting with little time to spare, and is priced at 20 pence. In 2015, it received the honor of being named National Newspaper of the Year. Previously, The i was part of the group that published The Independent and Independent on Sunday, which were owned by Evgeny Lebedev. Thames Water CEO Chris Weston said he is “not confident that we won’t have to restrict usage” in response to questions from MPs over the firm’s preparedness for drought. Water companies across the UK are facing pressure as the UK experiences its driest spring in almost 70 years.
