A health care-focused high school is enrolling students for fall 2025. NursesMC is set to be located at 3010 Tuggle Ave. near the Glencliff neighborhood at a site used by bilingual public school Aventura Community School, according to the school’s website. It is the third location for the Rhode Island-based charter school founded in 2011. Dr. Andrea Poynter is its Nashville executive director.

Franklin’s Rocky Top Revue cloggers have been entertaining crowds for more than three decades at venues from the Grand Ole Opry to Franklin’s annual PumpkinFest. It’s a special treat to see the dancers in a more casual setting — on the Franklin square for their monthly practice. Buck dancing, clogging and square dancing are all a means of preserving Appalachian culture. Besides, it is just plain fun to watch.

A Gulch tower nearing construction completion has landed its first commercial tenant. DosBros Fresh Mexican Grill is set to occupy a space in Modera McGavock, according to Metro records. The restaurant will offer an address of 1212 McGavock St. It is the first Nashville location for DosBros, which also operates restaurants nearby in Gallatin, Murfreesboro, Dickson and Spring Hill. DosBros offers catering as well as Mexican cuisine dishes including burritos, tacos, quesadillas and salads.

A cocktail bar is planned to open in Salemtown by year's end. Touted as a “neighborhood bar,” Cultivar will serve herbal-focused cocktails and charcuterie-style dishes. It is a concept of veteran bartenders James Beck (Noelle, Patterson House) Nic Berry (Urban Cowboy), Vinny Maniscalo (Urban Cowboy) and Storm Sheler (The Fox). Cultivar will be located at 1803 Fifth Ave. N., seemingly in a structure that was previously a residence. The decor will focus on botanicals.
