Criminal defense attorneys in Washoe County are raising alarms about this week’s law enforcement raid of Sober 24 and are advising clients not to test at the facility again. Sober 24 is a drug and alcohol monitoring program within Washoe County’s Department of Alternative Sentencing. It was closed without warning March 3-4. The department chief resigned Monday after being placed on unpaid leave, and a criminal investigation has been launched.
