Salaries also vary by a person’s level of experience, education and longevity with the organization. Few jurisdictions have the same exact characteristics as the Reno area.

    There’s no doubt labor unions and collective bargaining have changed how Americans work and how their workplaces operate. Collective bargaining supports higher wages for union members, and those higher wages tend to raise market wages for non-union employees as well. Through negotiation, workers have been able to push for safer working conditions, rights for fair treatment and non-discrimination, and social progress such as for eliminating child labor and requiring compensation for overtime.
