    Two men have been found guilty of the assassination of Sydney underworld figure who, it is believed, was shot dead over his refusal to return luxury rental cars. A jury on Monday found Abdulrahman Mohamed Atteya guilty after prosecutors argued he was either the shooter or getaway driver in the June 2022 murder. It followed a guilty verdict for co-accused Mohammed Hosni Khaled – who helped plan the hit man and driver’s escape – on June 16 after a lengthy trial before the NSW Supreme Court.

    Queensland police have revealed they have not given up on finding the man responsible for pouring scalding hot coffee on a baby boy last year. The random attack on nine-month-old Luka at a Brisbane park in August sparked a public outcry and a police manhunt for the assailant, who is believed to have fled the country. On Thursday, Acting Commissioner Shane Chelepy told radio station 4BC that investigations into the “horrible incident” were ongoing almost one year on.

Isaac Craig’s loved ones have been left to pick up the pieces after his unexpected death from a heart attack last month. Mr Craig was seriously injured in March 2024 when he was trying out a new tyre he had put on his daughter’s e-scooter in the Townsville suburb of Heatley.
