While you may think quakes are a western US problem, some of the largest temblors in US history have happened in the East. Residents across central Virginia were rattled by a 2.8 earthquake on Tuesday afternoon. The U.S. Geological Survey said that the earthquake struck just after 1 p.m. near Dillwyn, Virginia, located about an hour west of Richmond. Residents across central Virginia were rattled by a 3.0 earthquake on Tuesday afternoon. The U.S. Geological Survey said that the earthquake struck just after 1 p.m. near Dillwyn, Virginia, located about an hour west of Richmond. The earthquake was initially measured as a magnitude 2.8 but was later revised to a magnitude 3.0.It is unknown at this time if any damage or injuries have been reported. This is a developing story. A warehouse collapsed in Brownsburg, Indiana, on Wednesday after a tornado reportedly hit the building, trapping one person inside. Severe weather, spawning multiple tornadoes throughout the Midwest, moved through the Hoosier State on Wednesday evening. TYLERTOWN, Miss. – Tornadoes have ravaged several states since Friday, decimating homes, snapping trees and leaving towns like Tylertown, Mississippi, leveled. Drone video shot just after a tornado moved through shows the devastation caused by the twister. As the drone surveyed the town, the video showed trees were debarked, homes were wiped from their slabs and nothing but rubble is left.
