For one Blairsville-area family, Christmas came early this year. Rhonda and Gary Lewis, of Mt. Tabor Road in West Wheatfield Township, were on hand Dec. 3 for the installation of a new water well system to provide safe drinking water to their home via a multi-partner initiative involving the Chris Long Foundation and Water Well Trust. The Lewises had received water from a cistern on their property and had good water up until about eight years ago, Gary Lewis said.
