Public HealthReviewWHAT IS ALREADY KNOWN ON THIS TOPICOperational readiness (OPR) has emerged as a crucial but relatively unexplored concept in the context of health emergencies. WHAT THIS STUDY ADDSOPR is in an early stage of adoption with variable understandings of what it entails. This study highlights a need for conceptual clarity and consistency in describing OPR to build a coherent body of evidence that can underpin policy and practice.
