The Idaho state department of agriculture has continued their efforts in eradicating this invasive species. They’ve already started sampling, which will increase after the spring run-off.

    BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — After 89 days, the 2025 Idaho legislative session came to an end.     NEZ PERCE COUNTY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Gov. Brad Little toured parts of the Gwen and Texas fires to recognize the efforts of the local community and fire personnel in fighting the fires. The Gwen Fire, which started by lightning last month and is nearly 100% contained, is located east of Lapwai. The Texas Fire, which was human-caused and is 100% contained, is located east of Kendrick. Both are burning on Idaho Department of Lands acreage on endowment land.
