Argentina is, yet again, in a state of crisis. Its new president, Javier Milei, took office on December 10. He inherited a bankrupt government, an overvalued peso and a spaghetti bowl of informal exchange rates flourishing under the watch of a reserve-stripped central bank (indeed, with about US$15 billion in negative reserves). DiscussionsTo summarize, we have established a viable approach for utilizing a linearized slab mixed-layer model to infer near-inertial oscillations from an envisioned satellite mission, ODYSEA, tasked with simultaneous observations of wind and currents [8,]. While the preliminary results are promising and consistent with previous similar analyses [], there are several avenues for further refinement. Expanding the observation swath confers several benefits.
