DiscussionsTo summarize, we have established a viable approach for utilizing a linearized slab mixed-layer model to infer near-inertial oscillations from an envisioned satellite mission, ODYSEA, tasked with simultaneous observations of wind and currents [8,]. While the preliminary results are promising and consistent with previous similar analyses [], there are several avenues for further refinement. Expanding the observation swath confers several benefits.
