Finally saw “District 9” (I know, I of all people), and so many times I thought to myself, this movie works because the lead is giving an amazing performance. Was he really just an unknown South African actor who happened to be friends with the director? He carries the movie.

In our house, we say “Oh, biscuits” instead of swearing because that’s what they say on Bluey, but apparently it sounds very similar to a vulgar Slavic obscenity, which gets the kids in trouble when they’re around Russian speakers. I had no idea.
