The American Conservative

The American Conservative

The American Conservative (TAC) is a bi-monthly opinion magazine produced by the American Ideas Institute. Established in 2002, it aims to promote what it considers the true conservative principles of peace, community, and financial responsibility, distancing itself from the contemporary conservative focus on conflict, individualism, and unchecked spending. TAC critiques both the left-wing ideologies that were prevalent throughout the 20th century and the right-wing responses that, in its view, have only worsened the issues created by the left.
