Members of the Hendersonville community returned from a medical mission trip in Guatemala earlier this month, along with a February trip to Honduras. The Hendersonville Evening Rotary Club’s Guatemala trip is led by Dr. Bill Taylor, whose own trips to provide dental care in Guatemala began in 1984. During his trips, Taylor mainly provided tooth extractions but also performed fillings.

A man faces an aggravated assault charge following a reported road rage incident in Hendersonville earlier this month. The Hendersonville Police Department arrested Samuel Jay Kirkingburg, 54, on April 2, 2025, after an alleged road rage incident at Rhythm Dodge, located at 1221 West Main St. in Hendersonville. According to an arrest affidavit, a victim of the incident reported that while driving to work that morning, he passed a vehicle he stated to be driving under the speed limit.

On Saturday evening, a storm brought damaging winds to Hendersonville after a week filled with flood and storm warnings. Since Saturday’s storms, Hendersonville Mayor Jamie Clary has heard of several parked cars that were damaged by fallen trees. Chief of Operations Jessie Eckenroth said that there were several trees that filled in the Stoneybrook subdivision. “I saw a lot of neighbors helping neighbors in my subdivision, as I was driving around, and online,” Clary said. “I think that’s wonderful.
