1. IntroductionTechnological advancements have enabled the widespread use of mobile robots in industrial [1], commercial, and military applications, such as factory inspection [2], courier delivery [3], post-disaster search and rescue [4,5,6], and urban anti-terrorism and riot control [7]. However, staircases and steps are common obstacles in these work areas, making it challenging for mobile robots to navigate and perform their tasks [8].
