According to a new study published by Substance Abuse Counselor, 69% of Gen Z and 68% of millennials turn to substances on a weekly or daily basis to deal with work-related stress. What’s more, 1 in 3 millennials and 1 in 4 Gen Zers reported increased substance use because of layoffs and AI adoption. Workers aren’t just using substances to relax in their free time.

    According to the study, 78% of pre-retiree respondents expressed concern over inflation’s effect on their retirement income. A number of different factors are putting stress on the finances of retired and pre-retiree Americans. According to a new report from the Society of Actuaries Research Institute, retirees are less likely to report being “better off than expected” in 2024 than in 2021. The study also shows that pre-retirees are more conscious of unplanned financial events than before.

The employees have filed suit under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) for breach of ERISA's fiduciary duties.
