    Describe the first time you saw a cruise ship. Having been born on the day the first astronaut landed on the moon, I was always interested in exploration and seeking new horizons all throughout my life. Another element from a very young age was the water. Being raised in the very small village of Youngstown, New York on the mouth of the lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario it seemed everyone had a yachting pedigree or at least the love of being on the water.

    Describe the first time you saw a cruise ship. My first sight of a cruise ship, from what I can recall, was Royal Caribbean International's Sovereign of the Seas. There was such a big buzz in St. Thomas ahead of her arrival as she was, at that time in the late 1980s, the world's largest cruise ship with a tonnage of 73,000gt and 268m in length.
