DiscussionIn our study, we introduced a novel approach for cell type deconvolution using DNA methylation data by performing the analysis in PCA space. This method stands in contrast to existing approaches that operate at the probe level, such as IDOL-Ext, CIBERSORT, EpiDISH and EMeth. The key distinction of our approach lies in the data representation used for deconvolution, which is independent of the specific probe selection and cell type proportion estimation techniques employed.

1. IntroductionGlobal climate change causes waterlogging in cities around the world. In 2021, a “7.20” extreme rainstorm occurred in Zhengzhou (China), a “7.13” extreme rainstorm occurred in Germany, and a severe storm also occurred in the northeast United States. Sudan and Pakistan have been hit by multiple rainstorms since June 2022, causing severe waterlogging disasters. Urban waterlogging poses a considerable threat to the natural environment, human life, and social economy [1,2,3,4].
