President Trump has named a Real Housewives of New Jersey star to the board of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, in one of a string of controversial appointments. Siggy Flicker, a podcaster and influencer whose stepson was charged in connection with the January 6 riot at the US Capitol in 2021, was named among five new board members after Joe Biden's picks were fired by Trump. Doug Emhoff, the husband of the former vice-president, Kamala Harris, was among the board members dismissed last month.
