(KIMT) -- If you can dream up of a perfect week of weather, this week's weather will make your dream come true. With high pressure overhead of southeast Minnesota and North Iowa all week long, expect summer-like conditions to persist through Mother's Day Weekend. High temperatures will be slightly lower than Sunday's mid-70° readings, but still summer-like. Low to mid 70s will be the name of the game Monday due to easterly flow bringing in slightly cooler air off Lake Michigan.

(KIMT) -- Although Friday will not feature the amount of rain that Thursday had, it will still be rather chilly. In fact, due to breezy northerly winds and cloud cover, Friday will be the coolest day of the week. Those pesky clouds will hold tough for southeast Minnesotans with North Iowans seeing some sunshine Friday afternoon. Northerly winds will gust up to 25 MPH at times for all as a tight pressure gradient remains overhead behind a cold front that passed through Friday morning.
