Both Trojan teams are still undefeated on the season and most recently defeated Keokuk on Monday. The Fairfield boys (12-0) swept Keokuk 9-0 on the day, while the Trojan girls (10-0) bested the Chiefs 7-2. On the boys’ side, Han Wang defeated Tyce Hoppe 8-0. Bowen Zhang won 8-2 over Jaxton McNally.

Southeast Iowa Union offers audio versions of articles using Instaread. Some words may be mispronounced. FAIRFIELD — Fairfield held its co-ed Fairfield Brookhart-Crew Relays on Monday night with Mt. Pleasant, Washington and Fairfield all competing. Fort Madison and West Burlington-Notre Dame also took part. The Mt. Pleasant girls put up the biggest number on the night. With seven wins, the Panther led the girls’ standings with 179 points. Washington followed close behind in second with 148 points.

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield boys soccer completed the season sweep of Washington on Monday night with a 5-0 victory. It’s the second time the Trojans defeated the Demons this season, winning the first go around in a close 3-2 finish. It was looking like the second meeting was going to be much like the first as the Demons trailed by just one after the first half.

Southeast Iowa Union offers audio versions of articles using Instaread. Some words may be mispronounced. Mt. Pleasant boys and girls tennis had a tough go on Monday against Burlington. Both Panther squads were defeated by the Grayhounds, with the boys narrowly falling 5-4 and the girls 9-0. The Panther and Grayhound boys were dead even after the singles matches, but Burlington won two doubles matches to close it out.

Southeast Iowa Union offers audio versions of articles using Instaread. Some words may be mispronounced. Thursday afternoon was a tough one for WACO golf. Both Warrior boys and girls teams suffered defeats from Wapello. The Warrior girls were defeated by the Arrows 215-283 and the boys 179-209. Morgan Meyer led the girls with with a fifth place finish after shooting a 61. Taryn Elston ended with a 65, Shanae Riley a 74 and Gracie Cardenas a 83.
