Gravel suspension stems and seatposts really don’t get enough love. Ultimate Sports Equipment (USE), the makers of the first suspension seatpost back in 1990, are out to change that with its VYBE Suspension Stem and VYBE Suspension Seat Post combination. Everything old is new again. I reflect on vintage products like the Girvin Flex Stems from over 30 years ago, and then the workaround of MTB kids who couldn’t get enough suspension from forks.

6 hours agoSummer riding is the best, and part of that is feeling good and looking good in the best cycling bib shorts. I find the best cycling bib shorts to be such a fascinating intersection of cycling gear. It’s one of the few pieces of gear that confronts everyone with a reality that few are willing to …

The Warbonnet Tsunami Hot Hammock Tent is a bombproof fortress for year-round hammock camping — if you can weather the weight and the learning curve. The mercury was racing toward double-digit negatives with the same frenetic pace as my frozen hands and feet, setting up the Tsunami Hot Hammock Tent. When it was finished, I walked inside only to find an explosion of down and smoke. My first thought: Good thing I have a backup sleeping bag.

There’s a reason why, even among heavy hitters, the Tormek T-4 was a favorite in our review of the best knife sharpeners. There are as many ways to sharpen an edge as there are ways to skin a cat, but few offer the combination of versatility, precision, and — oddly enough — ASMR as a Tormek. The Tormek T-4 Bushcraft, specifically, offers one of the best compromises between speed, quiet, cleanliness, and fidelity on the market.

First post in forever. Saw #Frieiren trending. Thought: Dope! What a time to be alive that an anime like Frieren is the talk of the town -- even above #ONEPIECE ...Then I saw that trending above it was #Rapist. That whiplash tracks. Props to Stephanopoulos. Good question.

Learning curve aside, @theMysteryRanch Bridger 65 is the comfiest pack I've tested Pro tip: @REI's Packmod straps+daisy chains>shock cord/gear loops. Need⬆️external storage? The bottom straps are short but running em thru the loops on a large Zoid cube buys ya 14 extra liters

And sorry if I have offended anyone. I name names. Abuse of freelance labor only thrives behind closed doors. On the other hand, I highly encourage gear writers pitch @TheGearJunkie. They've been fantastic to work with

1) Waiting a month+ for response on pitches 2) No back-and-forth editing 3) $400 for regular reviews, with original photos. $800 for sponsored. Prompt pay. 4) Radio silence. 5) Thorough, dehumanizing shafting, whenever convenient. But hey, you're just a freelance tool right?
